Prisotni smo bili na sedmi mednarodni konferenci projekta Korenine, 5. junija 2009, v Ljubljani, z naslovom IZVOR EVROPEJCEV. Prisluhnili smo sedemnajstim predstavitvam enajstih avtorjev. Skupaj je bilo pripravljenih 18 prispevkov.

We attended at the seventh international Conference Origin of Europeans on 5th June 2009, in Ljubljana. There were 17 presentations by eleven authors. A total of 18 contributions were prepared this year.{nomultithumb}

In the introduction dr. J. Rant specifically highlighted the tragic losses of a long research in the field of genetics and Sanskrit, Mr. Joseph Škulj as well as writer and researcher Lucijan Vuga. However Škulj\'s work is in a way to continued by Katja Drobnic, while there is still a Vuga\'s book to be published.

The first contribution was an interesting and well-prepared "approach and not a theory" as linguist Moreno Mitrović, a student Yorške universities, stated. He presented a kind of a linguistic-archaeological approach towards finding roots of some hydronyms, which he sees as fossilized words.
He researched some Slavic hydronyms which in his opinion originated prior to the PIE division. He also noted that: "/the/ hydronymic gender-agreement /affix -a/ is not restricted to Slavic alone: OIr. had the same overtly expressed affix as modern Slavic has perserved. /.../ However, the a-feminine stem is and was not present in Germanic. /.../ From this perspective it seems that Slavic and Old Celtic shared greater gender-agreement affinities."
Finally, the hypothesis he developed and which is based on Alinei\'s conservation as a law of language is following: "the easieast working hypothesis for the question of European origin is the continuity model, and no other alternative." Mitrović has stressed that his work tends to be strictly theoretical independent.

With other words the author presented new possible guidelines for linguistic as well as other history researches.

Andrej Rant

A. Rant\'s study of Slavic origin of the names of some Venetian doges, listed the names of dožev Supantio, Mocenigo, Gradenigo et al. which have strong Slovenian affinities.

Jože Rant stressed in his contribution Onomastics of Roman Noricum and traces of Norican names in the contemporary  Slovenian territory that mosttly scientists make mistake in doing so as for example Anreiter, who interprets words mainly with the help of the Kentum language group. Rant insists that Celtization of Noricum could not have happened in the same manner everywhere, and that there is no mention of indigenous names before Celtization occured!

Dimitrij Kebe

Dimitrij Kebe once again researched interesting mentionings of the Goddess »Zemla« and heroes of Troja on the Etruscan Inscriptions.

R. Petrič was exploring the etymological root for "gor" which, in his view, had a PIE origin, however in the Alpine region, it remained mostly advanced used in Slovenian language solely (The root gor and its Synonyms in the Alps).

Marjan Moškon discussed the topic Who are Slovinci. He also challenged everyone with the question: why do Croats call Slavs Slaveni, the Serbs, however, Sloveni.

Vinko Vodopivec

Vinko Vodopivec has added a number of readings of the old inscriptions. His research in the paper Inscriptions on situlas from Grad and Posočje and on the platelet from Gradič is probably one of the most interesting contributions he wrote this year.

Giancarlo Tomezzoli

Giancarlo Tomezzoli together with Pavel Serafimov studied among others also An inscription from Magdalensberg. The inscription, though written with Latin characters, is in his opinion a clearly Non-latin one.

Anton Perdih

Anton Perdih presented in collaboration with Pavel Serafimovim Translation of the linear A tablet Ht -13 from Crete. The study also mentions the similarity between Crete-mycenian and the Thracian culture (pottery, decorations).
